Worst customer service ever

Paid for course, took course, took exam, was told I could use calculator, used calculator for a simple math problem, they failed my exam and want me to repay and retake. Complete waste of time and money and has cost me a job. Customer service thinks it's funny and managers "don't get on phone calls" so there is no recourse. I'd avoid this continuing education company who is dead set on providing anything but that.

wrong course

So unfortunately I ordered the incorrect course, and was told they have a refund policy that I did not fall under. I told the agent that I could prove that the classes I inadvertently ordered could be proven unnecessary.

We give people ample time to return courses in the event that they choose incorrectly or the course is not right for them. I'm sorry we couldn't return the course outside of the return policy.


PLEASE READ

PLEASE READ! If you are a horrible test taker do not take this 90 hours online. The CE shop gives you 3 chances to meet with a proctor to take test. After 3 attempts you start all over another 90 hours. Class room 90 hours best way as you are not required to take an exam in class and can go directly to State exam to test. I failed 3 times invested 150 hours and since having covid, my memory not the same in my 50s. Can't change a life event that almost killed me and had a 69,71,71 but not a 75. 6 questions away. I took the Edge test part of The CE Shop got a 77% and 80% on exam which would meet the state requirement. If I was disclosed this upfront before I paid, I would of taken class room in person and then go to state exam to have chance to pass or fail. Lots of questions were terribly worded made no sense and answers were vague. I do not recommed using this company as it's not a true indicator of my skills and I been in mortgage business 27 years.

Ridiculous

The actual course was fine however after passing my exam I tried to schedule my PSI exam to get my license and was told by psi that my school which was ce shop has to send over registration information. How long does it take to send that information over to psi? I've called . Left 7 escalations. Emails . Chats . No one is taking me seriously like I'm a joke. After working hard to get through the course and studying I'm ready to take my psi exam to get my license within my year and I'm being held up by the negligence of the employees at ceshop. Every time I call its the same answer. No resolution. Ridiculous and unacceptable. If this is the way students are treated they this school need not to offer courses. My next step will be real estate board to let them know this online course is holding students up from taking their exam for licensing!

As far as continuing education classes …

As far as continuing education classes the CE shop is okay. If you have to have a proctored test with PSI you will never get to take the test. It will not load. I have been having this issue with THE CE SHOP AND PSI FOR MONTHS. Shame on me. I literally had to reschedule my test about 10-15 times because of their technical issues. Please stay away.

The CE Shop is amazing

The CE Shop is amazing. I have been using them for years. Thanks to The CE Shop, I have been able to get my classes done on time. They have a very quick turnaround to get your credit sent to TREC. They are inexpensive... Also, they have help for any questions you might have. I love The CE Shop. Saves me time from goingt to a classroom. They are great!! I highly recommend them... They have been a Blessing to me.

I have taken many courses with the CE…

I have taken many courses with the CE Shop since I have obtained my RE Salesperson license. All the courses are easy to navigate.The material is delivered in a fast download which is great for reviewing before the quizzes and the final. In addition, I used the support system once and they were very helpful as well.

Cheap, but you're getting what you pay for

It's nice and cheap. While I may not be an expert in English, I saw way too many obvious typos and simple grammar errors that I couldn't ignore. Because of these issues, I questioned the education that I was receiving.

I always turn to the CE Shop when it's time to renew clock hours on my real estate license. I enjoy the content of the classes, the ease of navigation and going at my own pace. I also know that there is someone available to speak to if I have any problems.

Course info was sent incorrectly to the testing center

I completed my WA broker 90 course. The course was very helpful although a little dry. I understand that contract and purchase agreements can only be so exciting but more videos and variety in lessons would go a long way. I do feel like the course accomplished its purposed in preparing students for the brokers exam.

My biggest gripe and main reason for the low review is that my course info was sent incorrectly to the testing center. It took many days to correct this and a lot of back and forth. In fact my info still hasn't been sent over correctly. It seems the team is quite slow about it. I am hoping this is properly remedied and I can revise my review but currently I have to leave it at 2/5.

Update 9/12: It appears that I found the discrepancy and was able to correct it (an issue with my legal name and student ID). However, the CE shop has to resend my info to the testing center which takes 5 DAYS... Apparently, they are sending someone over on a horse to deliver the printed certificate otherwise I can't imagine why it would take that long.

iv already purchased 3 courses with…

iv already purchased 3 courses with them, and I had to retake my course exam. the course gave me the option to redo it 1.2 or 3 of July. so here I am this morning trying to login which didn't work I call them and they tell me I need to purchase an extension to take my exam. Not only did they charge me 25 dollars to retake it and they don't even let me access it and want me to repurchase. I regret even starting any of my courses with them on top of everything extremely rude and not helpful customer support. id give a 0 if I could.

It sounds like you were fortunate enough to be in a state that allows us to offer extensions. Could you please email us at Support@TheCEShop.com and let us know who was rude to you? Since you were unable to take your exam due to the course being expired, you should be able to get a refund on the exam fee. Did you pay that directly to the proctoring service? If so, that refund would need to be processed through that third party company.


took the course for AZ test

Took the course for AZ test kept getting 85% on practice exams so felt confident going in to take the state final. Got a 66%. don't waste your money on this prep course and school. Horrible content. outdated questions. just bad business. really expensive too not worth the money much better look elsewhere for a test prep and real estate content site.

STAY AWAY! I wish I saw these reviews earlier. I'm wondering if there was a change of ownership or management. Suffice to say, they are PREDATORY. You have an arbitrary expiration date that triggers a 3x price increase in all of your courses!

Didn't finish in time? Too bad. Had extenuating circumstances during the pandemic? Too bad. Horrible customer service and even worse business model. Pay the extra $100 and use Kaplan or literally ANY OTHER REAL ESTATE COURSE.

If I could give this a 0 I would. I signed up for CE for my real estate license. I have been a broker for 40 years. This is the worst course I have ever taken. The program does not work some of the time and when you call for support it takes hours for a return call. The questions are similar to a state board test, not CE. Through another online CE class is a breeze compared to this. Horrible experience.

TECH ISSUES GALORE!!!!!

Since i have started, I have been on the phone with these people putting in multiple tech tickets. Its taken me twice as long to complete my SAE required courses. I couldnt take any final exams without "ERROR" messages. The CE SHOP system counted my exam submission as 2 attempts!

PSI (who proctors the final exams for CE SHOP) IS A JOKE! I could not take my exams on 3 separate occasions. CE SHOP does not warn you that the 3rd party PSI adminstring the test requires a brand new APPLE/MAC product, and a certain browser, certain privacy features activated etc. No warning. You will be sitting there lost as to why you cant register for you exams, or why you can login into take them.
CE SHOP PLEASE WARN US CLIENTS ABOUT PSI REQUIREMENTS AND FIX YOUR GLITCHES!

To be clear, you do not need the a brand new Apple computer to use the proctoring services. We do recommend that students do a system check before taking their exams so that they will know if there is anything preventing them. I'm sorry that this information wasn't more available.

Don't do it Every time I tried to schedule my Exam it would not let me and they would have me pay $41.50 to do an extension this happened 3 times and I just tried to schedule before the 3rd extension ran out now its saying you have to repurchase the program so I called and once again they said I have to pay for extension just to schedule Exam plus I have to pay for Exam I feel this is a scam to get money from people
